Baker's Man

Before Brigham returned home, James and I would eat a loaf of bread every 2-3 weeks, on average I was spending between $2.50-5.00 a month on bread. Now that Brigham has returned, however, that has changed drastically. Brigham can eat 2-3 loaves of bread a week. That’s $20.00-30.00 a month just on bread!! Thankfully Brigham grew up in a large family where they baked bread twice a week and he learned how to make very good homemade bread. Last week Brigham made five loaves and had an eager apprentice to help.

James helping to add flour. He just kept scooping it in.

The only apron that fit James. I need to make him one of his own. Do you like Brigham's bunny slippers? I gave to him for Christmas a few years ago. He jokingly told me that the only slippers he would only wear are bunny slippers thinking they could not possibly be made in his size. Well they are! I was nice and got him gray ones instead of pink.

Kneading the bread.

More kneading.

Washing up!

Those SLIPPERS!!! And the apron. Go Brigham!!! I love that James is eager to help. I'm the one that makes the "bread" in our family. And I've now got it down so it taste's really good. Looks like fun!!

HA HA...the slippers are awesome!!! And I'm so jealous that he can make homemade bread from scratch. A loaf of whole grain here is 3.60. I finally broke down and bought a bread machine. Not as good as REAL homemade, but still cheaper and better than buying it at the store.
